Calon Hearts, the heart screening and defibrillator charity, is delighted to announce it will be celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings with a Vintage Party at Llandaff Rowing Club on Saturday 1st June, 11-7pm. Come along for a family-fun day in vintage style, with fairground rides, face-painting, vintage craft and food stalls as well as entertainment throughout the day.
Calon Hearts has contributed to heart health in Wales since the charity began over 11 years ago. To date, it has installed over 28,700 defibrillators across communities in Wales, trained over 99,300 in CPR , and screened over 16,500 hearts for possible life-threatening conditions.
The Charity has now taken this one step further, and offering FREE heart screening to all 16-25yr olds. Book your place now online by visiting www.calonhearts.org or by calling 02922 402670. This initiative has been triggered by the Ben McDonald Heart Screening Fund – Ben was only 25yr old, fit and healthy, when he tragically lost his life to an undiagnosed heart condition – read his story here www.calonhearts.org/campaigns.
Calon Hearts’ mission is clear: to reduce the number of people who lose their lives to a heart condition that could have been detected and managed. Calon Hearts save lives.
