  • Paul Thorburn hosts night of live music, quizzes and charity auctions
  • Major Swansea fundraiser has now raised over £160,000 since coming to the city

Action for Children’s Never Mind the Business raised over £20,000 at this year’s night of live music and chaos on the 15th March at the Swansea.com Stadium. The night, attended by 150 guests, was hosted by former Welsh rugby international, Paul Thorburn with the main sponsors Douglas Jones Mercer Solicitors.

The strictly t-shirts and jeans event gives businesses across Swansea and South Wales the chance to put their pop music knowledge to the test and enjoy auctions and live music sets while raising money for disadvantaged children and young people supported by Action for Children.

Paul Thorburn, former Welsh rugby international, Douglas Jones Mercer representative and chairman of the Never Mind the Business Swansea committee, said: ‘It’s always s a great night where Swansea really lets its hair down for a brilliant cause.  There was a great awareness in the room of just how tough times are families in Wales and across the UK so to raise over £20,000 was wonderful. We’ve raised over £160,000 for Action or Children since bringing Never Mind the Business to Swansea so hats off once again to the big hearts and generosity of Swansea’s business community.’

The business community always love this event and I’m delighted we raised so much money in these very challenging times. Never Mind the Business really is the perfect way to raise money for the children and young people we proudly serve in Swansea and across the UK.’
