A man has been jailed for various harassment offences following a South Wales Police investigation.
Nathan Morgan, 37 from Merthyr Tydfil was jailed for 26 weeks in prison following his conviction.
The sentencing took place on Thursday July 23 at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court where Morgan pleaded guilty to, three counts of harassment- breach of restraining order and one count of harassment without violence.
Officers attended an address in Merthyr Tydfil on July 7 to a call saying Morgan had breached his restraining order against the victim. The following day we received another call to say Morgan had attended the property again, officers attended and Morgan fled the scene.
Following arrest enquires, Morgan was arrested two weeks later.
Police Constable Dan Brookman said,“Nathan Morgan conducted a campaign of harassment against his victim which nobody should have to tolerate.”
The constant turning up at their address caused significant fear and distress to the victim and Morgan showed no remorse for his actions
“Any form of harassment is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by police. Anyone who is experiencing this sort of behaviour should report it to us right away.”
