The Man of Gwent, a family-friendly pub in Newport, Monmouthshire, is set to showcase a brand-new look and feel this summer following significant investment.

Situated on Chepstow Road, the popular Flaming Grill pub – part of pub company and brewer Greene King – will temporarily close to the public from 11 May whilst the refurbishment takes place, with the upgraded venue due to reopen its doors next month.

The investment includes upgrades to the Man of Gwent’s offering to create the ultimate destination for sports viewing, entertainment and great-value food and drinks. The pub’s interior will be fully refreshed with comfortable new furniture, décor and lighting to create a welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for family dining, while the Man of Gwent’s sports offering will be renewed with the installation of a state-of-the-art media wall and upgraded TVs throughout the venue, showcasing the latest live fixtures on Sky Sports and TNT Sports. The toilets are also set to undergo a full refurbishment.
