An innovative single-source supply arrangement between Caerphilly County Borough Council and Robert Price Builders Merchants continues to deliver significant benefits to local communities.
As the exclusive supplier of building materials and services for to the Council’s Caerphilly Homes team for housing repairs and improvements, Robert Price has provided extensive support valued at over £3,500 in the past year.
Several sheltered housing schemes have received donations aimed at enhancing residents’ health and wellbeing. These contributions include wooden planters at The Grove in Trethomas and outdoor furniture for the refurbished communal garden at Britannia Court, Risca. Additionally, residents at Abertysswg’s Prospect Place now enjoy a multi-functional pool and tennis table, fostering social interaction.
Volunteers at Tirphil Community Garden were able to transform their space with the help of 225 donated slabs, making the area more accessible. The donation of an urn and table has also facilitated refreshments for volunteers during various activities coordinated by Caerphilly Council.
Furthermore, new apprentices in the Council’s Caerphilly Homes team have received bespoke tool kits from Robert Price, supporting them as they embark on their career journeys.
During the festive period, Robert Price generously donated 200 selection boxes to the Penllwyn Community Partnership and contributed £200 to a foodbank appeal coordinated by the Council.
