Motorpoint Swansea is celebrating its fifth birthday on Friday 31 January 2025. 

Located on Swansea Enterprise Park, the store was Motorpoint’s 13^th retail location when it opened in 2020. Since then, the used car retailer has expanded to 21 stores allowing car buyers to shop either in-person, online or over the phone.  

Motorpoint Swansea has made a real impact since opening its doors. The store has sold nearly 14,000 vehicles, with 26% of customers buying more than one car from the team. 

Over the last five years, Motorpoint found that Swansea’s car buyers love Ford and Vauxhall with these brands making up over a fifth (22%) of total sales.  

The Vauxhall Corsa, Ford Fiesta and Nissan Qashqai are the most popular models with car buyers in the Welsh city.  

Celebrating the store’s successes and marking its fifth birthday in style, Motorpoint Swansea will have some special treats for car buyers between 31 January and 2 February.  

Motorpoint Swansea has several long-standing members of staff who have been at the store since it first opened, including Gareth Lewis, who joined as Sales Controller before being promoted to General Sales Manager in December 2023.

With over 250 cars on pitch and thousands more available on the Motorpoint website, the team is confident it can help motorists in Swansea find their ideal car.  

Motorpoint Swansea has become a valued part of the local community, too, supporting local charity campaigns such as South Wales’ Mr X appeal. 

Explaining the store’s involvement, Claire Pontefract, Customer Service Manager at Motorpoint Swansea said: “The Mr X appeal is close to our hearts, and we have been so lucky to not only be able to provide lots of gifts ourselves but also act as a collection point for others in the local community who have wanted to get involved.  

“The appeal supports childcare agencies across the region to ensure every child receives a gift from Santa at Christmas. Having been involved with this initiative for the last three years, it has been so rewarding to see what an incredible impact it can have.”
