Swansea Council is giving motorists free parking at most city centre car parks listed on its website on 22/23 July.
The free parking offer is part of a package of support for visitors and city centre businesses, helping to encourage more people to visit the area. Of all the council’s city centre car parks, only Copr Bay South is not included.
Rob Stewart, Leader of Swansea Council, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer more free weekend parking next weekend. There’s already been two weekends of free parking and this latest offer will be a curtain-raiser to the start of our 1-5 parking offer on July 24.
“The 1-5 offer means that people parking in our city centre car parks – except for the premium car park at Copr Bay South – will pay £1 an hour and no more than £5 for the whole day.
“The offer will make Swansea one of the cheapest city centres anyway for shopper and city centre worker car parking.”
Cllr Stewart added: “Free public transport across the city is also returning for the school summer holidays, giving families the chance to go on day trips to our beaches and shopping trips in the city centre.”
