Following changes to the Bus Network in April 2024 which affected both the service 26 and the service H, additional funding has been provided from the Bus Network Grant to reinstate the former service 26 and for the additional H1 service which will operate a few journeys a day directly between Caerphilly and Trapwell.
Following changes to the Bus Network in April 2024 which affected both the service 26 and the service H, additional funding has been provided from the Bus Network Grant to reinstate the former service 26 and for the additional H1 service which will operate a few journeys a day directly between Caerphilly and Trapwell.
Please note that the 86X service, which was amalgamated with the 26 service from April, will continue running as a separate service but will revert back to how it was operated prior to April 2024.
Service registrations are underway through the Traffic Commission and updated timetable information should appear on the Traveline website (https://www.traveline.info/) prior to the commencement date for all three of these services which is 5 August 2024:
• 26 Blackwood – Cardiff (via Nantgarw, Taffs Well and Whitchurch) – to be provided by Stagecoach in South Wales
• H1 Caerphilly – Trapwell (direct service) – to be provided by Connect2.
• 86X Caerphilly – University of Wales Hospital) (via Caerphilly Mountain) – to be provided by Stagecoach in South Wales
