Campaigners from national animal welfare charity the League Against Cruel Sports will be gathering outside the Miner Statue on Queens Street in Cardiff on Saturday, August 12 – holding a family-friendly event to launch the Wales leg of its campaign calling on Welsh and English national park authorities to end fox or ‘trail’ hunting on their land.
The campaign is backed by the Time for Change Coalition Against Hunting representing over 30 organisations.
The charity is inviting the media and the public to come along and meet the campaigners, including the friendly ‘League fox’, who will be entertaining families and posing for photographs.
Media are invited to attend and take photos.

Despite a fox hunting ban coming into force in 2005, the League Against Cruel Sports compiles reports showing hundreds of eyewitness sightings of suspected illegal fox hunting every year, some of which took place on our national parks.
The ‘trail’ hunting excuse used by fox hunts has been shown to be a sham and smokescreen for the illegal hunting of foxes.
