Caerphilly County Borough Council has taken firm enforcement action to evict a tenant from a property in the Morgan Jones ward of Caerphilly after repeated and severe anti-social behaviour.

The eviction was carried out on Thursday 8 January 2026 after long-running intensive intervention by the Council’s Caerphilly Homes Anti-Social Behaviour Team failed to resolve ongoing issues affecting local residents.

A full Closure Order was granted on the property in August 2025 after neighbours reported persistent and serious disturbances. A partial Closure Order had previously been granted in November 2024.

Despite these interventions, incidents at this property continued, leading the team to make a successful application to Court for a Possession Order in October 2025, which resulted in the tenant being ordered to vacate the property within 14 days.  After the tenant failed to leave the property, bailiffs, supported by Heddlu Gwent Police, carried out the eviction.

Cllr Shayne Cook, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Housing, said “Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own home and behaviour of the kind being caused at this property will not be tolerated in the Caerphilly borough. Eviction is always a last resort, and while we aim to support tenants and resolve issues early, persistent nuisance of this nature leaves us with no alternative but to act decisively to protect our communities.”

Residents experiencing persistent or serious anti-social behaviour linked to Caerphilly Homes contract holders, household members, or visitors should contact the Caerphilly Homes Anti-Social Behaviour Team on 01443 811440 or email Caerphillyhomesasb@caerphilly.gov.uk.
