More than 140 people including alleged shoplifters, violent offenders, and burglars have been arrested in a police operation across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
The aim of the 5-day operation was to bring wanted people into custody
Of the 144 people arrested, 39 were spontaneous arrests by officers attending incidents and the remaining 105 were planned arrests of wanted people.

Several of those arrested have either been recalled to prison or charged including:
Jacob Lawday, 19, from Barry, has been charged with two attempt burglaries in Penarth and Sully, and one burglary in Penarth.
Karl Legg, 40, is charged with a burglary at Ely Sports and Social Club, robbery, and theft.
Samuel Delaney, 45, of no fixed abode, was charged with seven shoplifting offences. He appeared at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on September 18 and jailed for 20 weeks.
Ryan Marquardt, 34, from Butetown, was charged with stealing four bikes and a motor vehicle. He pleaded guilty and was committed to prison for 24 weeks suspended for 12
Inspector Gerallt Hughes, from South Wales Police, said:“This operation is just one example of the work we are doing to pursue criminals and bring them to justice.
“Officers are making arrests in our communities every day, 24/7, however these intensification operations give us a specific focus on those who are wanted for offences.
