A man has been jailed after being found with cannabis and multiple high value watches in a house following a search by officers.
Christopher Williams, 38, from Mountain Ash, was sentenced to five years in prison and banned from driving for two years following his conviction.
The sentencing took place on Friday, April 10, at Cardiff Crown Court where Williams pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cannabis, dangerous driving and acquire/use of criminal property.
Officers attended an address in Mountain Ash in January 2026. While at the address, Williams sped off in his Volkswagen Golf. Officers continued with the search at the property and found multiple clear bags containing cannabis along with weighing scales and multiple high value items, including Nike shoes and Rolex watches.
Williams later returned to this address and was arrested. His car was later found and searched, and more high-value shoes were found within the car. This was Williams’ third offence for possession with intent to supply cannabis within the last five years.
Police Constable Cameron Allcock said:
“This was Williams’ third offence within the last five years; he will now serve a much longer sentence because of this.
“We continue to tackle local drug supply across the force and any intelligence you have could be of vital importance so please report it to us.”
