Cardiff ranks ninth as the best UK city for sports fans, with 4 sports stadiums and 6 professional sports team the city, well known for it’s rugby, it’s a great spot for fans to go and support their teams. The city also offers fairly priced pints (£5.00) and plenty of sports bars (18) for fans looking to catch the latest game on TV.
London, home to iconic stadiums like Wembley and Twickenham, is the UK’s top city for sports fans. As the country’s largest city, it’s hosted major events like the 1966 World Cup final, 2012 Olympics, and 2015 Rugby World Cup. With 26 stadiums and 25 professional teams, London offers plenty for sports enthusiasts. For those who prefer watching in a bar, there are 219 sports bars, though a pint costs £6, a pound more than the national average.
Northampton takes second place as the best UK city for sports fan, with three stadiums and five professional teams, including Northampton Town FC, Northampton Saints, and Northamptonshire Cricket. Its standout feature is £3.50 pints, making it a great choice for budget-conscious sports fans.
