The Environmental Crime Team have noticed a high surge in fly-tipping incidents across the county borough.
Household waste is being carelessly dumped next to our litter bins and is becoming a serious problem with incidents regularly occurring at the A472 and A467 lay-bys.
Leaving bags of household waste next to public bins is considered fly-tipping. These bins are designed for small bits of litter, not for household waste.
Fly-tipping is a serious environmental crime, and if proven, could lead to prosecution. It not only looks unsightly but also costs taxpayers a significant amount to clean up. It can be detrimental to our communities, wildlife, and the environment.
