The National Eisteddfod is taking place in Pontypridd from the 2nd-10th of August this year and Caerphilly County Borough Council will have a presence in more ways than one.
CCBC is working in partnership with Cymraeg i Bawb (Welsh for Everyone) and will be supporting at their stand during the Eisteddfod. Cymraeg i Bawb is a partnership of South-East Wales Welsh Medium Education Promotion Partnership and the Pencampwr (Champion). The partnership consists of 10 Local Authorities, 6 Mentrau Iaith, Cymraeg i Blant, RhAG, and the Welsh Government in South-East Wales. The project is funded by Welsh Government and is contributed towards by the partners.
The project was initiated by Grŵp Deddf, South-East Wales Welsh language officers, when they realised that the partners that promote Welsh-medium education could benefit enormously from working together. The partnership aims to create a Wales where everyone is free to learn and speak Welsh.
