New Festival Combines Fun, Fitness, Fundraising, and Food in One Event
Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 22nd, as Tiger Yard hosts an exciting new festival that blends fitness and fun, perfect for fitness enthusiasts, dance lovers, or anyone looking for a unique way to celebrate the longest day of the year.
Run To Rave starts at 9 am with a 5km fun-run around the scenic Cardiff Bay barrage.
This run offers participants the opportunity to enjoy stunning views while getting in a good workout. Open to all ages and abilities, it’s ideal for both seasoned runners and beginners.
From 10 am to 12 pm, Tiger Yard will transform into a vibrant dance haven. Runners can groove to classic dance tracks spun by Tiger Yard’s in-house DJs, providing the perfect atmosphere to unwind with friends and fellow participants.
After working up an appetite, participants can enjoy a variety of street food options starting at noon. Tiger Yard’s resident traders, including Terry’s Tacos, Fire & Flank, Meating Point, and Dirty Bird, will be serving up delicious offerings like smashed beef tacos, halloumi souvlaki, and crispy fried chicken with blue cheese sauce.
The bar will also be open for those who want to relax and enjoy a drink in the summer sunshine.
Tickets for Run to Rave are priced at £10, with a portion of each ticket sale going to Calon Hearts.
Sharon Owen, Charity Director at Calon Hearts, said:
“We are delighted and honoured that Tiger Yard has chosen Calon Hearts as their Charity for their Run to Rave fundraising event taking place on the 22nd June 2024. All money raised will go towards part-funding mobile heart screening sessions and supply of defibrillators throughout Wales.”
